US stock futures were tracking lower in Friday's premarket session as Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 0.26%, S&P 500 futures were off 0.24%, and Nasdaq futures declined 0.32%.
Although a relatively quiet day for economic news, investors will be keeping an eye out for the Baker Hughes rig count and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's weekly commitments report to gauge where oil prices may be heading.
Oil prices were lower, with front-month global benchmarks Brent crude and West Texas Intermediate crude declining 0.50% and 0.43%, respectively.
In equities, shares of Impact BioMedical (IBO) jumped 42% after soaring 292% on Thursday. Allurion Technologies' (ALUR) stock surged 64% after reporting late Thursday that initial trial results from the Allurion balloon in combination with semaglutide showed total body weight loss and lean body mass gains. And shares of Patriot National Bancorp (PNBK) advanced 31% after it said late Thursday that Chief Executive David Lowery is leaving the company and that it will raise more than $50 million in a private placement.
On the losing side, shares of Brookline Bancorp (BRKL) plunged 25%, adding to a 0.8% loss the previous session. TELA Bio (TELA) shares tumbled 18% after the company late Thursday reported Q4 revenue, as well as Q1 and 2025 revenue guidance that missed analyst forecasts. And shares of CFSB Bancorp (CFSB) dropped 19%, adding to a 3.1% loss on Thursday.
