Qoria (ASX:QOR) said that the potential dissolution of the US Department of Education (DOE) would not affect the administration of the E-Rate program, which provides discounts for telecommunications and internet access to schools, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company assured stakeholders that core educational program funding and structure are expected to remain unchanged despite federal policy discussions, the filing said.
The programs Qoria serves are largely supported by federal and local laws such as the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA), the filing said.
Compliance with CIPA is a prerequisite for institutions to receive funding through the E-Rate program, the filing added.
Shares of the company slid 2% in recent Thursday trade.
