TEMPO.CO, Medan - In welcoming the homecoming exodus for Eid al-Fitr, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) is offering a 20 percent toll fare discount on the main sections of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) under its management. The discount is effective from Monday, March 24, 2025, at 07:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time) until March 28, at 07:00 WIB for the homecoming exodus. For the return journey, it is valid from April 3, 5, 8, 10, 2025, until 07:00 WIB.

The 20 percent discount applies to all categories of vehicles traveling the farthest distance on the Terbanggi Besar-Kayu Agung (Terpeka) Toll Road Section, the Indralaya-Prabumulih (Indraprabu) Toll Road Section, the Pekanbaru-Dumai (Permai) Toll Road Section, the Indrapura-Kisaran (Inkis) Toll Road Section, and the Kualatanjung-Tebingtinggi-Parapat (Kutepat) Toll Road Section. The discount applies in both directions for all the toll road sections mentioned.

"The five sections were chosen based on the high traffic volume expected during the homecoming exodus and return journey. The hope is to alleviate traffic congestion," said Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya, Adjib Al Hakim in an official statement on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

Adjib stated that the toll fare discount is only applicable to toll road users using electronic money or e-money cards. The company advises homecoming travelers to ensure that their e-money card is sufficiently topped up before starting their journey.

The following are the toll fares after the 20 percent discount is applied with the closed system:

1. Terpeka Toll Road

The Terpeka Toll Road is integrated with the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll Road managed by PT Rafflesia Investasi Indonesia, which applies a 20 percent toll fare discount with a one-way system. This toll road section offers a 20 percent discount on toll fares during the homecoming exodus period on March 24-26 at 06:59 WIB, only valid for continuous journeys from GT Bakauheni Selatan to GT Kayu Agung. For the return journey on April 3, 5, 8, and 10 at 06:59 WIB, it is only valid for continuous journeys from GT Kayu Agung to GT Bakauheni Selatan.

The MKTT and Belmera Toll Roads apply a 20 percent toll fare discount with a one-way system for the homecoming exodus period on March 24-27, only valid for continuous journeys from GT Tanjungpura to GT Kisaran. For the return journey on April 3-4 and 8-9, it is only valid for continuous journeys from GT Kisaran to GT Tanjungpura or GT Pangkalanbrandan. Integrated with the Tebingtinggi-Indrapura Toll Road managed by PT Hutama Marga Waskita (HMW) and the Medan-Binjai Toll Road managed by PT Rafflesia Investasi Indonesia.
