1537 GMT - JD Sports Fashion's dependence on Nike in the U.S. remains a challenge for the company, Shore Capital analysts David Hughes and Clive Black say in a note. Recent updates from Nike and Puma highlight the current challenging environment, particularly the U.S. market, they say. With Nike noting that footwear revenue dropped in the U.S., there must be the risk of a significant negative read-across to the JD businesses in the country, the analysts say. Despite these difficulties, JD looks like a long-term winner in the sporting-goods sector, partly due to its leading market position, as well as international reach and opportunities, the analysts say. Shares are up 0.4%. (andrea.figueras@wsj.com)
