Aspire Mining (ASX:AKM) reported progress in the development of coal infrastructure for its Ovoot coking coal project in Mongolia with the receipt of tender submissions for the plant's design, procurement, supply, construction management, and commissioning, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company had tapped a procurement specialist consultancy to facilitate the global tender process for the planned coal handling and preparation plant and coal handling infrastructure at the Erdenet Rail Terminal. Bids were received from companies in Mongolia, Australia, China, and South Africa.
Aspire Mining expects to award the contract within the second quarter, the filing stated.
The company's shares fell 6% in recent trade.
