Financial stocks advanced pre-bell Tuesday with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) 0.4% higher recently.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 1.1% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 1% lower.
Qifu Technology (QFIN) shares were down nearly 2% after the company said it plans to offer $600 million of convertible senior notes due 2030.
KKR (KKR) shares advanced by nearly 2% after the company said it has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the founding family of Fuji Soft to take the company private.
HSBC (HSBC) plans to strengthen investment banking operations in Asia and the Middle East following its exit from Europe and US, Bloomberg reported, citing an interview with Chief Executive Officer Georges Elhedery. Shares of HSBC were up 0.5% pre-bell.
