BlackRock (BLK) said it expects assets under management of US outcome exchange traded funds, or ETFs, to continue expanding and reach $650 billion by 2030 from $181 billion in 2024.
Outcome ETFs use options strategies within the funds to deliver specific investment goals such as downside protection, income, or enhanced growth potential, BlackRock said in a white paper.
Although outcome ETFs have grown rapidly in the past years from just $5 billion in 2019, almost 90% of advisors are not using them yet, the asset manager said in the white paper, citing data from 22,042 advisor models.
