1418 ET - Uncertainty around Trump tariffs "has been arguably more harmful than the tariffs themselves," Evercore analysts write. "Investors were looking to April 2 hoping to finally get their arms around the macro implications of Trump's tariffs, but we fear this won't be the whole story in the end." Evercore says the recent announcement of "secondary tariffs" punishing countries that buy Venezuelan oil "further reduces the likelihood that April 2 is the peak of trade uncertainty."
