SciDev (ASX:SDV) won a AU$396,000 contract with US consulting firm Halff, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The contract is for the treatment of 190,000 liters of PFAS-contaminated water on four US Department of Defense sites, per the filing. PFAS, or perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, are man-made chemicals used in consumer products and industrial processes.
This is SciDev's first contract in the US for PFAS remediation, the filing stated.
SciDev's shares climbed 8% in recent Wednesday trade.
