Star Entertainment Group's Star Sydney Casino License to Remain Suspended Until Sept. 30

Star Entertainment Group (ASX:SGR) said that the New South Wales Independent Casino Commission (NICC) advised the firm that the casino license for Star Sydney will remain suspended until at least Sept. 30, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The NICC-appointed manager, Nick Weeks, will continue to have oversight of the casino's operations until at least Sept. 30. The regulator will then reassess Star Entertainment's suitability to regain its license.

The firm accepted that the manager's appointment should continue for another six months while remediation continues and it implements measures to secure its finances.
