Morgan Stanley hired a former UBS advisor team that specializes in serving entertainers and professional athletes.

The Gottlieb Rose Group has "over $1.6 billion assets under management," according to Morgan Stanley's website. That figure jibes with data UBS submitted to Barron's at the end of 2024 for its advisor rankings. A person familiar with the matter says the team currently has assets of $1 billion, however, and generates $10 million in annual revenue.

The team, which joined Morgan Stanley in New York, includes senior advisors Rachel Gottlieb and William Rose. The group also includes Kayla Gager, director of investments; Kasten Carter, director of business strategy; Julia Lajeunesse, business development associate; and Mary Zwaan, registered client-service associate.

Gottlieb and Rose's team made the move Friday, according to registration records available through BrokerCheck, a public database maintained by industry self-regulatory organization Finra. Their team's clients include entertainers and professional athletes.

Gottlieb began her advisory career at UBS in 2002, according to BrokerCheck. Rose started at UBS in 2000. He worked at Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley from 2007 to 2010 and rejoined UBS in 2013, according to BrokerCheck.

A representative for UBS declined to comment.
