Alligator Energy (ASX: AGE) has identified multiple uranium anomalies and some rare earth potential in analysis of results from its 2024 exploration program in the Alligator Rivers uranium province (ARUP) in Australia’s Northern Territory.

The vast program covered the Nabarlek North (NN) and Tin Camp Creek (TCC) projects with drilling and soil sampling.

The company is continuing with its structural and geological interpretation of the 2024 airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys in search of key features for reconnaissance in 2025.

Positive sampling results

Alligator completed 22 holes for 3,526 metres of reverse circulation drilling at Nabarlek North, identifying a new mineralisation occurrence at Bully with a highlight of 1m at 108 parts per million from 83m.

Surface sampling also identified multiple uranium anomalies across both the NN and TCC projects including a high of 4,120ppm at the historic Gorrunghar prospect.

Extension follow-up drilling has also identified further mineralisation extending into the company’s tenure.

Exploration strategy

Chief executive officer Greg Hall said Alligator is now pulling together all results with historic data to progress the company’s exploration strategy at Alligator Rivers for 2025 and beyond.

“The ARUP team has delivered an excellent generative program through the field work in 2024 and subsequent assay results received in Q1 2025,” he said.

“The identification of a new uranium mineral occurrence below cover and 4km away from known mineralisation is no small achievement in this challenging province and potentially opens up a large structural corridor for future investigation.”

“The recent Boss Energy (ASX: BOE) announcement brings a fourth significant player into the region and continues to highlight the interest and potential of this world-class uranium province,” he added.

REE potential investigated

The company also analysed samples for rare earth elements (REE), while grab samples collected during reconnaissance highlighted the potential for high purity silica to occur in the region.

Two samples from separate vein systems subjected to analysis by Bureau Veritas Minerals returned up to 97.84% purity.

Alligator is planning on bringing in specialist consulting expertise to advance its understanding of the REE and silica results, including reviewing the detailed assays and potential rare earth metal groupings.
