WhiteWater, in collaboration with MPLX (MPLX), Enbridge (ENB) and Targa Resources (TRGP), said Thursday they will move forward with the Traverse Pipeline after securing long-term agreements with high-credit shippers.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The line will be held under the Blackcomb Pipeline joint venture, with WPC owning 70%, Targa owning 17.5% and MPLX owning 12.5%, in addition to MPLX's prior investment in WPC.

The proposed project involves a 160-mile, 36-inch pipe capable of moving up to 1.75 billion cubic feet of natural gas daily between Agua Dulce in South Texas and the Katy area, WhiteWater said.

Gas supplies will be fed from various existing systems, the company said, including Whistler, Blackcomb, and Matterhorn Express.

WhiteWater will lead construction and oversee daily operations, with the pipeline expected to begin service in 2027, subject to regulatory clearance.
