Nissan Motor plans to maintain two shifts for producing the Rogue midsize crossover SUV at its Tennessee plant, scrapping an earlier plan to cut to one shift following the new U.S. tariffs announced on Wednesday.
The Japanese carmaker said it would keep two shifts of Rogue production at its plant in Smyrna, Tennessee, to maintain localized production volume in the U.S.
Nissan had announced in January that it planned to reduce shifts at the Tennessee plant as part of its turnaround efforts.
