Koonenberry Gold (ASX:KNB) said it received assays from its first diamond drill hole at its Enmore Gold project's Sunnyside prospect in northeast New South Wales, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The results yielded 170 meters at 1.75 grams per tonne of gold from 77 meters, including 18.3 meters at 9.95 g/t gold from 172.9 meters, the filing said.
The company said the assays provide further evidence for the potential of the system to host broad intervals of gold mineralization as well as high-grade gold zones, per the filing.
Results from three other holes containing visible gold are expected in April, the filing added.
The company's shares jumped 22% on market close.
