President Donald Trump will meet with his administration Wednesday to consider a proposal for an acquisition of TikTok's US operations from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, news outlets reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
The meeting is set to take place ahead of the April 5 deadline for a sale of the social media platform, CBS News reported.
The administration is considering plans for a deal led by potential investors such as Blackstone (BX) and Oracle (ORCL), according to the report.
ByteDance has previously said it is not interested in a sale of TikTok.
The White House, ByteDance, TikTok, Blackstone, and Oracle did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
