Qualcomm (QCOM) confirmed Tuesday in an information note to the London Stock Exchange it is considering making a possible offer for acquisition of UK-based Alphawave IP Group.
There's no assurance that any firm offer will be made, Qualcomm said, nor of the terms on which any offer might be made.
According to the information note, Qualcomm understands it now has until 5 pm London time April 29 to make an offer for Alphawave or announce it doesn't intend to make an offer for Alphawave.
Neither Alphawave nor Qualcomm responded immediately to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
