1553 ET - Mattel and Hasbro priced earlier tariffs on imports from China, Mexico and Canada into their outlooks, but new levies now poised to hit countries from which they source their toys could affect their operations and pricing strategy moving forward. Incremental tariffs on Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand will likely hurt Mattel, UBS analysts say in a research note, with Indonesia and Malaysia being most significant, given Barbie and Hot Wheels manufacturing. "Hasbro has been expanding into places like Vietnam and India for manufacturing, and management was looking at Indonesia as the next frontier," the analysts write. "We also note that significant volume of 'Magic the Gathering' card printing is done in the United States." (connor.hart@wsj.com)
