Leeuwin Metals (ASX:LM1) said a review of historical drilling results at the Marda gold project in Western Australia identified extensive shallow high-grade mineralization, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
Results from the review provide clear drill targets, supporting the current drill program, which is underway, targeting high-priority unmined mineralization at the Marda Central deposit.
It also initiated broader data reviews across the Evanston, Golden Orb, and King Brown prospects to define additional brownfield targets.
Its shares surged 45% in recent trading on Tuesday.
