Airbus said it plans to integrate Amazon.com's satellite internet network to provide in-flight connectivity services on its aircraft.

The European plane maker said it recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Amazon, which has a constellation of more than 3,200 low-Earth orbit satellites. The companies didn't disclose financial details.

Airbus said Amazon's satellite internet network, known as Project Kuiper, would provide airlines that operate Airbus aircraft with downlink speeds of up to one gigabit per second.
