SATS' (SGX:S58) unit, SATS-Creuers Cruise Services will lead the expansion of the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Friday.
SATS-Creuers is the current terminal operator and will lead the nine-month upgrade which will include the development of a new check-in area, updated amenities and a ground transport area.
The operator agreement is for eight years with an option to extend for another two years.
Upgrades costs are expected to be around SG$40 million, with Marina Bay Cruise Centre anticipating 11,700 passengers once the upgradation is completed.
SATS-Creuers is a joint venture between SATS and Creuers del Port de Barcelona, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Ports Holding.
