0135 GMT - Posco Future M's heavy exposure to the U.S. electric-vehicle market offers both risks and opportunities, Daiwa Capital analysts Henny Jung and Yoonki Bae write in a note. The South Korean EV battery-material supplier's cathode shipment volume could contract 40% in 2025, they say, given its amplified vulnerability to slower U.S. shipments of battery electric vehicles under potential policy changes by the new Trump administration. On the other hand, its anode-material business could expand faster than expected, thanks to clients' possible import-diversification efforts amid rising uncertainties over U.S. tariffs on China, which accounted for 40% of the 2024 U.S. anode-material imports, they add.
