In corporate news, Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI scaled back the duration and depth of safety testing for its latest artificial intelligence systems, the Financial Times reported. Microsoft shares advanced 2.3%.
Blink Charging (BLNK) shares jumped 6.1%. The company regained compliance with Nasdaq listing rules on filing deadlines for quarterly and annual financial reports.
NASA may face cuts of almost half to its science programs under an early draft of President Donald Trump's 2026 budget proposal, the Washington Post reported. Intuitive Machines (LUNR) shares fell 1.7%, Redwire (RDW) eased 0.2%, and Rocket Lab USA (RKLB) rose 0.5%.
