Booz Allen Hamilton Holding (BAH), Accenture (ACN), IBM (IBM) and other large consulting groups faced accusations of "financial obfuscations" from the Trump administration during contracts reviews, with threats to "recompete" long-standing agreement, the Financial Times reported Wednesday, citing a letter to the companies from the General Services Administration.

The cost-saving proposals were deemed "insulting," and the US government is threatening to terminate billions of dollars in consulting contracts unless the 10 companies identify more savings by April 18, the report said.

"We look forward to demonstrating our capabilities to the administration; simply put, our stuff works," a spokesperson for Booz Allen told MT Newswires.

Accenture, IBM and the GSA didn't immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
