Affirm (AFRM) and Shopify (SHOP) said Wednesday that they are speeding up their global expansion plans, with Shopify merchants with early access in Canada now able to offer the "Shop Pay Installments" service, powered by Affirm.
The companies said the service will be available to all Shopify merchants in Canada and the UK this summer, with plans to enable cross-border commerce between the US, Canada, and the UK shortly after.
The companies also said they plan to expand into Australia and Western Europe, starting with France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
