1144 ET - Delta Air Lines will not be paying tariffs on any aircraft deliveries it takes, CEO Ed Bastian says on a call with analysts. The carrier has been clear on that with Airbus, the only plane maker it is getting deliveries from this year, he says. "If you start to put a 20% incremental cost on top of an aircraft, it gets very difficult to make that math work," the CEO says. Delta will work closely with Airbus to address the evolving tariff situation and "do our very best to see what we have to do to minimize tariffs," Bastian says. Delta is hoping tariff-related cost pressures are resolved through trade discussions rather than any actions on the part of either Delta or Airbus, he says. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
