Stocks staged a reversal after a White House official said Tuesday afternoon the US is moving forward with tariffs on China totaling as much as 104%, Bloomberg reported.
The S&P 500 went from positive to negative around 1:30 p.m. ET following the report. The index moved up 0.7% at around 1:45 p.m. ET.
