Amazon.com (AMZN) equipped some of its delivery vans in Amsterdam, London, and Bologna with defibrillators made by Philips (PHG) as part of a pilot program to help cardiac arrest victims, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing documents it viewed.

Bloomberg said the program, named Project Pulse, involved over 100 drivers who were trained on the devices as part of a first-aid course that also included CPR and registered with local responder apps that notified them of nearby emergencies.

The trial ended after several months, and Amazon is reviewing feedback to assess potential next steps, the report said.

Amazon and Koninklijke Philips did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
