The Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker, backed by Stellantis NV (NYSE: STLA), rolled out the all-electric B10 at a launch event today, with a starting price of RMB 99,800 ($13,590).
That's down RMB 10,000, or 9.1 percent, from the pre-sales price of RMB 109,800 announced on March 10.
The B10 secured 10,016 firm orders after one hour after its launch, Leapmotor announced on Weibo shortly after today's launch event.
Leapmotor is offering five variants of the model, all of which are battery electric vehicle (BEV) versions, with starting prices of RMB 99,800, RMB 109,800, RMB 119,800, RMB 119,800, and RMB 129,800 respectively.
The five-seat SUV is based on Leapmotor's latest LEAP 3.5 technology architecture and measures 4,515 mm in length, 1,885 mm in width and 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm.
The dimensions are slightly larger than those of BYD's (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) popular Yuan Plus, known in overseas markets as the Atto 3, which has a length, width and height of 4,455 mm, 1,875 mm and 1,615 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,720 mm.

The model can be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in about 19 minutes.
The two most expensive options of the 510-km and 600-km variants, which Leapmotor calls the Smart Driver Edition, are equipped with an ATX LiDAR supplied by Hesai (NASDAQ: HSAI), making the B10 one of the lowest-priced models in the Chinese market with this component.
All variants of the model are powered by a rear-mounted single motor, with the entry variant having a single motor that produces 132 kW of peak power and 175 Nm of peak torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.3 seconds.
The other four variants are powered by a single motor that produces 160 kW of peak power and 240 Nm of peak torque, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.
Leapmotor announced today that its smart driving software is starting to be available free of charge for eligible vehicles, and the company will refund customers who have previously purchased the package until May 31.
