Wellgistics Health (WGRX) said Thursday it reached a deal to acquire Peek Healthcare Technologies, aiming to broaden its digital pharmacy tools and support.
Financial terms weren't disclosed. Wellgistics said the acquisition should be immediately accretive to earnings while increasing its market potential through added digital pharmacy features.
The healthcare-focused holding company said the transaction will expand its presence in prescription technology by integrating Peek's marketplace, which enables consumers to compare medication prices across nearby pharmacies.
Peek also operates a consulting business that helps drug companies navigate market entry, which Wellgistics said will now be enhanced with added distribution and trade services as Peek continues to work under its existing brand as a Wellgistics unit, the company said.
Shares of Wellgistics were over 7% higher in recent premarket activity.
