0935 ET - How the planting of row crops in America proceeds over the next three months is now the primary focus for grain traders and analysts, says Tomm Pfitzenmaier of Summit Commodity Brokerage in a note. Traders are looking for a lowered crush rate and lower export sales estimate, but the tariff issue being given 3 months to stew allows for the grain market to pay attention to factors that are closer to home, including crop growth and weather conditions supporting/derailing that growth. The USDA released its first Crop Progress report earlier this week, showing planting of the three major row crops just starting in the Midwest. (kirk.maltais@wsj.com)
