Redwire has partnered with Ispace Technologies-U.S. to pursue commercial lunar exploration missions for government customers including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, along with private sector customers.

The space-equipment manufacturer said Tuesday the joint venture will pursue missions for the NASA Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative, which awards indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts worth up to a combined $2.6 billion through 2028.

Redwire is one of 14 prime contractors on the contract.

The company said it plans to use its advanced digital engineering, integration, testing and lunar subsystems in combination with Ispace's APEX lunar lander to pursue future missions for the program.
