Honda Motor Mulls Auto Manufacturing Relocation into U.S. From Canada, Mexico, Nikkei Reports

-- Automaker Honda Motor plans to move its car production out of Canada and Mexico and into the U.S. in response to Trump's 25% tariffs on imported vehicles, according to a Nikkei report.

-- Honda could increase U.S. vehicle production by up to nearly one third over the next two-to-three years which would allow it to reach 90% of unit sales there with domestically produced cars, Nikkei says.

-- Honda produces CR-V SUVs and Civic sedans in Canada, which is part of the 500,000 vehicles the company imports into the U.S., the report says.
