Halliburton, Nabors Implement Automated Drilling in Oman

Halliburton (HAL) and Nabors Industries (NBR) have completed the first fully automated surface and subsurface implementation of rotary and slide drilling operations in Oman, Halliburton said Tuesday.

The two companies' collaboration allowed the optimization of drilling performance and a reduction in well construction time, Halliburton added.
