Market Chatter: Bitdeer to Boost Self-Mining Operations, Eyes US Manufacturing

Bitdeer Technologies Group (BTDR) is looking to boost both its self-mining operations and plans to manufacture machines in the US amid falling demand for Bitcoin mining rigs and uncertainty over the country's tariff policy, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing Jeff LaBerge, head of capital markets and strategic initiatives at the company.

The Singapore-based Bitcoin mining firm plans to prioritize mining the coin for itself instead of selling to other miners, the report quoted LaBerge as saying.

The company is planning to start manufacturing machines in the US by H2 to reduce supply chain risks, according to the report.

In an effort to benefit from the 90-day pause on tariffs, the company is shipping rigs from Southeast Asia to the US, the report also said, citing LaBerge.

Shares were down more than 8% in recent trading.
