MW The latest tariff fallout: China reportedly tells its airlines not to take any more Boeing planes
By Steve Goldstein
Boeing shares were lower early Tuesday after a report that China ordered its airlines not to take any more deliveries of U.S.-made jets.
Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, said the order extended beyond Boeing planes to include aircraft-related equipment and parts.
The report dragged Boeing stock $(BA)$ down 3% in premarket trade as Airbus shares (FR:AIR) rose 1%.
The report said it's unclear whether 10 Boeing 737 Max aircraft preparing to enter Chinese fleets will be able to enter China.
