Airbnb (ABNB) said Monday that it is now providing customers with the total price of available rentals, including all fees before taxes, before making a reservation globally.

The total price display has already been made available in some parts of Europe, Australia, Canada and Korea since 2019, the company said.

In January, the US Federal Trade Commission federal issued a rule stating that it is "an unfair and deceptive practice for businesses to offer, display, or advertise" short-term lodging "without clearly, conspicuously and prominently disclosing the total price." The rule takes effect May 12.
