Village Farms International (VFF) said Monday that the Nasdaq Stock Market approved its request for a 180-calendar day extension to regain compliance with the minimum stock price requirement for continued listing.
The company said it now has until Oct. 13 to regain compliance with the $1 minimum bid price requirement. The extension follows the expiration on Apr. 16 of the initial 180-calendar day period to regain compliance.
The notification has no immediate effect on the listing of Village Farms' shares on the Nasdaq Capital Market and its stock will continue to trade on the exchange, according to the company.
Shares of Village Farms were up 2% in recent trading.
