Great Southern Mining (ASX:GSN) struck more high-grade gold intercepts at its Duketon project in Western Australia, following receipt of final assays from the February drilling program, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Intercepts include three meters at 2.55 grams per tonne grade of gold from a depth of 33 meters in the Golden Boulder Eastern trend. This includes a read of one meter at 6.48g/t gold and two meters at 1.81g/t gold from a depth of 42 meters.
The mineral explorer also hit two meters at 2.10g/t gold from 18 meters within the Golden Boulder Main trend.
Great Southern Mining is preparing for further drilling programs, with a focus on resource definition at the Southern Star, Golden Boulder, and Amy Clarke prospects, the filing stated.
The company's shares were up nearly 5% in recent trade.
