Paycom Software (PAYC) said Monday it has been accredited by the Background Screening Credentialing Council after demonstrating compliance with the Background Screening Organization Accreditation Program.
The accreditation means that Paycom meets the US employment screening standard, the company said.
The accreditation process includes a desk audit of operational documentation and a virtual audit examining areas such as information security, legal and compliance, client education, researcher and data standards, verification services standards and business practices, the company said.
Paycom shares were nearly 3% lower in recent trading.
