April 28 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Monday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.13%.
* UNILEVER: Unilever ULVR.L on Friday rejected the claim it tried to oust former Ben & Jerry's CEO for supporting his company's social activism, saying it offered him a bigger role and more pay but he chose to resign.
* DELIVEROO: British meal delivery company Deliveroo ROO.L said on Friday it received a proposal from DoorDash DASH.O on April 5 to buy all of its shares for 2.7 billion pounds ($3.60 billion).
* ITV: French entertainment company Banijay BNJ.AS is in early-stage talks for a takeover offer for British broadcaster ITV ITV.L, the Financial Times reported on Sunday, citing people familiar with the matter.
* BANKS: Bank ring-fencing should be scrapped to support the UK economy, bank bosses from HSBC HSBA.L, Lloyds LLOY.L , NatWest NWG.L and Santander UK SANS_pa.L said in a letter to the finance ministry.
* OIL: Oil prices inched up in early trade on Monday but remained dogged by uncertainty over trade talks between the U.S. and China and OPEC+ raising supply cast.
* GOLD: Gold prices dropped more than 1% on Monday as easing U.S.-China trade tensions dented demand for safe-haven assets.
* METALS: London metals traded mixed on Monday as optimism over easing U.S.-China trade tensions offered some respite to investors.
* The UK blue-chip index .FTSE closed up 0.09% on Friday to its longest winning streak in eight years, as markets responded positively to signs of easing tensions in the U.S.-China trade dispute.
