Federal Signal (FSS) said Thursday that Brenda Reichelderfer succeeded Dennis Martin as chair of the company's board.
Martin will continue to serve on the board after being reelected for a one-year term at the annual meeting of shareholders, the company said.
Reichelderfer has been part of Federal Signal's board since October 2006, the company added.
Federal Signal shares were up 1% in recent trading.
