2月27日，据《华尔街日报》，微软正在推动特朗普政府放松和简化限制美国尖端人工智能芯片向世界大部分地区销售的制度。
微软公司官员表示，微软将在周四发布的一篇博文中呼吁特朗普团队放宽对数据中心用于训练人工智能模型的芯片的限制，使其不再适用于包括印度、瑞士和以色列在内的美国盟友。这些国家属于出口管制三级体系中的第二级。上届政府在拜登任期最后几天提出了芯片管控规则。特朗普团队目前正在审查这些规则，并考虑行业团体的反馈意见，然后再决定如何推进。
据知情人士透露，政府官员正在权衡加强限制的措施，同时简化出口管制规则。另一家发表意见的公司是英伟达，其称拟议的规则是“全面的越权”。
