12月11日，迈威尔科技周三发布了多项公告，其中包括在用于人工智能处理器的定制高带宽内存(HBM)方面取得突破。
迈威尔科技表示，其新的人工智能加速器架构(XPU)将使计算能力提高25%，内存增加33%，同时还可以提高能效。该公司正在与美光科技(MU.US)、三星(SSNLF.US)和SK海力士合作，为加速器定制HBM处理器。
迈威尔科技高管Will Chu在一份声明中表示：“领先的云数据中心运营商已经扩展了定制基础设施。通过针对特定性能、功耗和总拥有成本定制HBM来增强XPU，是人工智能加速器设计和交付新范式的最新一步。我们非常感谢与领先的内存设计人员合作，加速这场革命，并帮助云数据中心运营商继续为人工智能时代扩展其XPU和基础设施。”
该公司还发布了两项相关公告，推出了一款用于光网络的1.6 Tbps LPO芯片组，以提高铜缆的速度和覆盖范围;以及用于数据中心的Coherent lite 1.6 Tbps O波段优化芯片组。
