Singapore Business Review

It is Sembcorp’s first greenfield renewable development in the Middle East.

Sembcorp Industries has completed acceptance tests for the Manah II Solar Independent Power Project in Oman, four months ahead of its scheduled commercial operations date.

The Manah II Solar Project is Sembcorp’s first greenfield renewable development in the Middle East and its largest utility-scale solar farm globally, with a peak capacity of 588MW.

Supported by a long-term 500MW power purchase agreement, the Manah II Solar Project aligns with Oman’s 30% renewable energy target for 2030.

It is projected to be earnings accretive for Sembcorp, with minimal impact on its net tangible assets in FY 2024.
