Shares of National Vision Holdings Inc. (EYE) soared 18.01% in pre-market trading on Wednesday, following the company's better-than-expected fourth-quarter 2024 financial results and an upbeat outlook for fiscal 2025.
The discount optical retailer reported adjusted earnings per share of $(0.04) for Q4 2024, beating the consensus estimate of $(0.05) by 20%. Net revenue grew 3.9% year-over-year to $437.3 million, surpassing analysts' expectations of $434.3 million. The company's adjusted operating income rose substantially to $3.2 million from a loss of $2.7 million a year ago.
For fiscal 2025, National Vision provided an optimistic outlook, projecting adjusted diluted EPS in the range of $0.52 to $0.64 on expected revenue between $1.9 billion and $1.96 billion. The company's guidance reflects its ongoing initiatives to drive comparable store sales growth, optimize its store fleet, and enhance profitability through disciplined expense management.
