欧盟委员会(European Commission)表示，作为打击大量廉价网购产品涌入欧盟的措施之一，Temu等中国跨境电商将为其平台上销售不安全和危险产品承担责任；欧盟还将建议成员国对进口网购产品收取手续费，以弥补监督此类进口的成本。
欧盟委员会称，廉价、不安全的进口产品对遵守规则的欧盟卖家构成不公平竞争，而大量包裹的运输对环境和气候造成了负面影响。在某些条件下，市场平台也可能因销售不合规或危险产品而承担责任。
该机构称，去年约有46亿件价值低于22欧元的商品进入欧盟，相当于每天1200万个包裹，其中91%来自中国。而46亿欧元的总价值则是2023年的两倍。
