消息面上，3月3日，腾讯元宝APP在中国区苹果应用商店免费APP下载排行榜上升至第一，超越DeepSeek。据悉，在2月22日，腾讯元宝超越豆包，升至中国区苹果免费APP下载排行榜第二。值得注意的是，腾讯元宝App因旧版本用户协议中“霸王条款”引发热议，随后腾讯元宝发文道歉。 针对知识产权归属问题，腾讯元宝强调用户输入和输出的内容权利归用户或相应权利人所有，使用元宝不会改变归属。
花旗此前指出，DeepSeek加速采用强化微信生态系统和CSIG(腾讯云与产业事业群)，相信公司资本支出前景乐观，且微信或转型为超级AI应用程式。该行表示，随着腾讯研发的大语言模型“元宝”从2月1日的生产力下载榜第12名攀升至2月23日的第2名，超过字节跳动的“豆包”，仅次于DeepSeek、再加上腾讯最近将包括“元宝”在内的几个关键应用重组到CSIG业务群组，表明腾讯已加强了战略优先顺序，以全面迎接中国企业和个人用户加速采用人工智能的转变。
