Shares of Genius Sports Ltd (NYSE:GENI) plummeted 7.21% in the pre-market session on Tuesday, despite the company reporting better-than-expected earnings for the fourth quarter of 2024.
Genius Sports reported Q4 earnings per share of $0.12, beating analysts' consensus estimate of $0.02 by a significant margin. However, the company's revenue for the quarter came in at $175.53 million, narrowly missing the consensus estimate of $175.54 million.
While the company's Q4 adjusted EBITDA of $32.373 million was slightly higher than analysts' expectations of $32.1 million, the revenue miss appears to have overshadowed the positive earnings surprise. Genius Sports also provided full-year 2025 guidance, projecting revenue of $620 million and adjusted EBITDA of $125 million.
