AppLovin Drops 7% After Snubbed Again By S&P 500; Intuitive Machines Sinks Another 9%

DoorDash, TKO Group, Williams-Sonoma and Expand Energy will join the S&P 500 index as part of a quarterly rebalance, S&P Dow Jones Indices announced Friday night. AppLovin, one of the hottest stocks of 2024, was a notable snub.

DoorDash rose 5% in premarket trading, Expand Energy rose 1.5%, and Williams-Sonoma rose 1%.

While AppLovin shares sank 6.5%.

Intuitive Machines shares tumbled another 9% in premarket trading. The shares sank 22% on Friday amid uncertainty about the status of its Athena lander’s attempt to touch down on the surface of the moon.
